New Variant Of Huawei Nova Launched With 4 GB Of RAM
Chinese smartphone manufacturer, Huawei, had launched its new range of mid-range smartphones, the Huawei Nova and Nova Plus, last month at IFA in Berlin. While both devices were set to launch in more than 50 countries starting from this month, it seems like the company has now added one more variant in its Nova range of devices.
Yesterday, Huawei unveiled one more version of the recently released Nova smartphone in China called the Huawei Nova (CAZ-AL10). The new version now offers 4GB of RAM compared to the 3GB RAM of the original Nova device so potential consumers have now one more option to choose from. Apart from the memory upgrade, the Nova doesn’t seem to be bringing any other changes specification wise, though the company does state that the device now supports LTE-A carrier aggregation on supported Chinese carriers to deliver download speeds of up to 300 Mbps. This new variant is now available for purchase in China and comes in black and white color It’s currently unclear whether the company will go the same way with the Nova Plus too by releasing a 4GB RAM variant of the device. Huawei also gives no details on whether or not to this new variant will be made available to other countries later on.

Since the specifications of this variant are the same as the original Huawei Nova, we are looking at a device which has a 5-inch full HD IPS screen with a resolution of a 1920 × 1080 that measures 141.2 x 69.1 x 7.1mm in dimension. Under the hood, the device is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 octa-core CPU running at 2.0 GHz clock speed and an Adreno 506 GPU to handle graphics tasks. For optics, it has a 12-megapixel camera (1.25um pixel size) with phase detection autofocus and an LED flash on the back while an 8-megapixel sensor is placed on the front of the device. The device packs 4 GB of RAM and 32 GB of flash storage with a MicroSD card support to expand the storage further (up to 256GB). The Huawei Nova (CAZ-AL10) sports a non-removable Li-ion 3020 mAh capacity battery cell and supports fast charging via its USB-C port, while the fingerprint sensor can be found on the back side of the device. On the software side, the device comes pre-loaded with Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow with Huawei’s custom EMUI 4.1 UI running on top of the Google’s OS.
